Notes - At 16 years of age Lucy Maria Nash sailed as a free settler from England to Fremantle on the sailing ship MARY with her 20 year old sister Emily Jane Nash. The ship carried 123 passengers. It left Port Plymouth in England on December 2, 1851 and arrived in Fremantle March 26, 1852. When the Colonial Government were choosing immigrants they endeavoured to have equal numbers of sex.
