    • 10th light horse No 471 enlisted 16/10/1914 was on Gallipoli at the time of the charge at the Nek 7/8/1915 promoted to sgt just days after 16/8/1915 Battle for hill 60 29-30 aug 1915
      25/9/1915 shipped to Madros diahorrea and Enterirric fever then England and returned unfit for service to Australia. discharged 31/7/1916 Lynn do you have any more details The 10th Light Horse were the the 3th and 4th waves of the attack on the Nek as depicted in Peter Weirs iconic movie Gallipoli.
      All of the 3rd wave went over the top bit part of the 4th were stopped as per John Hamiltons book "Goodbye Cobber God Bless You".
      Also after the nek they were involved in an equally futile loss of life at Hill 60 (read Bean at AWM)
