• Notes

  R. GEORGE WRIGHT. The death of another old colonist in Mr. George Wright, contractor, occurred on Wednesday, June l l 1903. Deceased expired after a short illness, leaving a widow and a large family of sons and daughters to mourn their loss. He had lived in the State for thirty-five years. His funeral took place yesterday afternoon, and was largely attended. The cortege left deceased's late residence, South-street, Beaconsfield, for the Fremantle cemetery, where the remains were interred. The funeral service was read at the grave by the Rev. Archdeacon Watkins. The chief mourners were the widow of the deceased. Messrs. Charles, Joseph, William and George Wright, sons, Mrs. William and Mrs. Wright, daughters in-law; Mrs. Bastin, Mrs. Eliza Wright, Mrs. Rowe, Mrs. T. Butler, daughters; Mr. Bastin, Mr. Rowe, and Mr. Butler. sons-in-law, and Mr. Dominick, brother-in-law. Numerous wreaths and floral tributes were sent. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs. Arthur E. Davies and Co., of Market-street, Fremantle.
