  Jane left John and he kept Violet Owen, and her Grandparents helped raise her. Jane kept Ethel Kate. There was always some doubt if John Edward was her Father. Jane was still married to John when she went through a form of marriage to a James Muir in Hughenden. They had five children. She also married another man while John Edward was still alive. When children of Violet traced her family by James Muir down, they did not want to know anything about Violet, so sadly she never got to meet her half sisters & brothers.
