Notes - It might interest you to know that the name "James Tinlin" appears in WA newspapers in February/March 1930. My great-grandfather, Michael Kelly, committed suicide, and I'm sorry to say that James had the misfortune to discover Michael's body ~ it was on the Mt Lawley Golf Course in Perth. I've not exhaustively searched the newspaper archives, but the articles I've read say that James Tinlin worked there, or was a member of the club, and made this "gruesome discovery" on February 10th, 1930. Not sure yet if he was a witness at the inquest. (They reported a lot of details on suicides in those days, so if it's the same James, there may be more information about him in one of the newspapers or "periodicals".)
