Notes - Ernest served for England in the First World War and was based in France. Ernest and Pansey were courting at the time and it is known Ernest came home during that time to marry Pansey. Date not known. He then returned to France till the end of the war.
Upon arriving in Western Australia they went on a bus along with a lot of the passengers from the ship to Northcliffe and became the pioneers of Northcliffe area. It is here they started there life in Australia. They were given land and some supplies. There first lot of land was on the 14/03/1924 lot no 106 (8998)
1927 1 believe there house etc was burnt down so they relocated on the 03/12/1927 to lot 141 (7941). I'm not sure when they left Northcliffe thus ending there pioneering days and the beginning of city life in West Perth. They moved from there to Mt Lawley.
Ernest was a lieutenant in the 2nd World War for Australia but I don 't know if he went overseas.
