Notes - Mary and Frederick Pollock were members of a theatre troupe which toured Australia, New Zealand (where they met), India, Japan and other Asian countries. He became a manager of theatres in Melbourne and of the Theatre Royal in Adelaide. There are many references to them in "Trove". One reference also mentioned her father Abraham Myers who once worked for the Adelaide Advertiser.
She also said(quoted from the interview):
"Did he go on to the other States?
"No; he was anxious to get back to Singapore, where I was waiting for our marriage.- We were married there, at St. Andrew's Cathedral in 1875. We had been, engaged for eight years. After our marriage we went home to England and toured the Continent, and when we returned to Calcutta we encountered Maggie Moore and J. C. Williamson, who were playing in
'Struck Oil.' Mr. Pollock became manager of the Corinthian Theatre in Calcutta, and it was not' until 1879 that we returned to Australia."
